FREE INITIAL INTERVIEW

During this first 30 minute meeting, the hope is to get to know each other- we will listen to what you are looking for, we will share what we can provide to you and we will get to know each other. Then, you can let us know if you want to hire us to support you. It is very important that you and your birthing partner feel comfortable with your doula and their role in your birth. Jackie and Mariette offer these interviews virtually.

TWO PRENATAL MEETINGS

These sessions include your child-birth education training, the co-creation of your “birth plan” (or “birth blueprint” some call it) and hands-on practice of comfort measures and various labor and delivery positions. The specific content of those meetings is individualized for each client, based on your previous knowledge and experience and your needs!

UNLIMITED PRENATAL COMMUNICATION

Unlimited support via text, phone or email throughout your pregnancy journey. Weekly check-ins from our contracting date and on. Check-ins allow you to share information about how you are doing; you to ask whatever questions you have; us to make specific plans for when labor begins; and for us (as both a doula and therapist) to support you emotionally in whichever way you want.

Complete ATTENTION DURING BIRTH PREP WEEKS

The on-call period for you begins at 38 weeks until your baby is born. Jackie and Mariette take only a certain (limited) number of births per month, so that our clients have our best attempt at full availability for their birth “window”. Daily check-ins during the last few weeks. Often, an additional home visit when we are after 40 weeks.

BIRTH-DAY (OR NIGHT) SUPPORT

We provide continual physical, emotional and mental care for the birthing person and birthing partner throughout your labor and delivery at your chosen birth center or hospital. 

We take on the role of helping to create lines of crystal clear communication between all people on your birth team (birth partner, nurses, doctors, midwives, family members) so that you feel confident, aware, and empowered about what is happening to your body and your life throughout the entire process!

We are very happy to take any easily capturable photos and videos via our i-phones of any moments of your birthing process you want documented- and airdrop to you before leaving the hospital at no extra charge.

We remain with you 1-2 hours post birth until you feel ready to rest and have some family time! 

POST PARTUM RESOURCES

A 60 minute postpartum visit to provide you with a detailed account of notes taken during your birth, discussion and answering questions, help with infant feeding and newborn care [and my massively popular lactation cookies].

With Mariette as your doula, she offers you her rigorous training in both the doula world and the psychological world, her experience (as a therapist, a doula, and a VBAC mom of two), her energy, her compassion, her heart and her hands to fully support what YOU want for your birth.

With Jackie as your doula, she offers you her deep empathy and companionship through your labor and delivery- with warmth and strength she has walked with folks through various stages in life throughout her life! Her understanding of birth and labor support comes from an extensive and comprehensive DONA training, alongside of mentoring from various other doulas (including ongoing mentoring from Mariette).

The retainer fee is 50% of cost and remainder is due at 37 weeks.
We accept cash, check, zelle, venmo, or square (added surcharge for square and venmo).
